Violin

Violinist Jennifer Liu delights audiences as a performer, teacher, and arts advocate. She began her violin studies at the age of four in Los Angeles with her mother. She moved to New York City at age 15 to study with Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho at The Juilliard School. She finished her studies as a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship at Juilliard under the tutelage of Sylvia Rosenberg and Donald Weilerstein.

As a passionate chamber musician, Jennifer has worked with renowned artists and members of the Juilliard String Quartet, Cleveland Quartet, and Orion String Quartet. She has been a part of multiple festivals, including the Perlman Music Program, Music@Menlo, Yellow Barn. She has appeared in performance at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and David Geffen Hall.

Jennifer rounds out her musical life by exploring recipes from David Chang, Yotam Ottolenghi, and Julia Child. Her deep love for food has helped her draw many parallels in music, art, and expression. As part of her fellowship with Ensemble Connect, Jennifer teaches at PS Q016 The Nancy DeBenedittis School in Queens.
